Friday was devoted to a cultural and pedagogical visit to the cities of Philippi, Kavala and Amphipolis. We joined the students who were on a three-day- trip.
They students had previously prepared a presentation on Wednesday about the most important landmarks in these three places. They had worked with their History teachers the Hellenistic period and once in Phillipi they explained all the relevant information about the different archaeological sites. I think carrying out this type of activity motivates the students and gives them the opportunity to see first-hand the contents they had learned in the classroom.
